According to the CIA World Factbook, we DO NOT live in a DEMOCRACY, NOT even a REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY. We live in a "CONSTITUTION-BASED FEDERAL REPUBLIC, WITH STRONG DEMOCRATIC TRADITIONS." (Check it out with the links just below this text.) On the other hand, the Dominican Republic, [there's that word again], is listed as a DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. (One year it was listed as a 'REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY.') But no, not the U.S. We are NOT listed as a DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC or a REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY. No. Not by the CIA World Factbook. Thought you should know. (What's the difference? Well, I can't tell you! But the CIA seems to want to make sure we know there is one!) Personally, I want to be a CONSTITUTIONAL DEMOCRACY. Forget about the representative part! That's hasn't worked out at all! Of course, neither has the Constitutional part! That's where Ron Paul comes in, see? It does not appear that all the voters were able to benefit from the information
made available before the 2004 election. The roots of this problem are well known
by those who would manipulate the electorate for their own agendas. However,
for those who would like to continue to search out your own information, here are a
few links that could get you started finding out more about how - what is simplistically
and hypnotically called 'democracy' - works... or doesn't... and just how much
'we the people' have... or don't have.. to do with it... by choice or not, by apathy
or action, by being accurately informed or misinformed... or not informed at all!
We all know something has to change... Something basic.
Let's start the dialogue with one another... But first, let's have something to discuss! Perhaps we would all benefit from a discussion of the 'two party system' and how the 'growth and harvest' cycles affect the financial security of Americans today. Something is going on, and we shall never understand the nature and the power of our government over our futures and our children's futures, unless we are willing to take a look at the amazing overall picture, created by those who would be our 'handlers,' and the parts that make it up. We may need to actually question the authority of those we have been told we elected to usurp our freedom and choices: No one needs less freedom that is also being told they are free! No one should be told they are dying for freedom, without also being shown how that freedom is being eroded. We may need to evaluate and measure what has been going on and make adjustments in how we feel about our experience as Americans. It may be disappointing, but the first step is admitting it..to ourselves and and to each other. Only with that communication will we gather the consensus and commitment to decide and follow through with what needs to be done. Something worth doing isn't always easy. One of us probably cannot change the world by ourselves, but one of us can do one thing! If one out of five Americans wrote their congressional representative about one topic, after learning all they could about it, congress would receive 60 million letters! If 60 million informed people wrote to congress, our 'non-representatives' would have to notice that many people are watching and care about how things go! They would expect more letters on more topics, and suddenly their job is not only about corporate lobbyists and what they represent, but mostly about what the people who thought they put them in office want! Of course this will be irrelevant until we get the problems with these mystery voting boxes out of the election process! We can no longer be confident or assured that our votes are counting in the way would like to imagine! See the link below to Bev Harris' ongoing, non-partisan investigations into the unreliability of electronic voting machines, and the admitted partisan and potentially fraudulent voting machine companies, involved in elections all over the country! We have to draw the line somewhere! Just as important is knowing what the sources of our information are: Let's follow the trails of power, money and oaths of association! And, let's identify our friends and our enemies in this search for true information. Ready? Let's go! And remember, this is just a place to start: A great one, but just one. The rest is up to you. Please read the links and see if you agree with the uniqueness of this individual's qualifications for being included on thinkscapes: He has worked for several decades on the side of the people of this country. Yes, he has had many, many reasons for seeing this struggle as one between the people and the government! He knows much more than many of us but he is willing to share this information...Information that shows how hypnotized we are to believe that there are only two choices in politics, democrat and republican! The most disturbing registration to those who would try to control our support is 'independent!' Nader, like more and more Americans, see the independence of being registered independent. But, until the people in the states where independents are not allowed to vote in the primaries change that, they will be punished for not registering in one of the two parties. Nader is well informed about what is truly going on, and how it has, and still is, affecting all of us who work for a living! He is worth not ignoring, but had limited access in a 'scripted' process planned by the two-party 'leaders of the hypnotized.' And even though he appeared in many media venues, and travelled all over the country, in an effort to get the uniquely important information to as many people as he could, without the help of the mainstream and 'purchased' media, he was effectively left out as a viable alternative by the hypnotizing onslaught of the wealthy supporters of big government! We must come to see this process for what it has become: A runaway train named "Corporacracy!" This is not the time to be forgiving of the powerful in Congress who have blatanly chosen to represent the multi-national corporations, and not the people of this country! We can, if we WILL, take our country back! We can, if we carefully INFORM ourselves and stop letting CONVENIENCE be the overriding principle in our search for truth! We can, if we can IGNORE the distractions carefully thrown before us, and FOCUS on the most important issues first, and work from there! But that will take some doing...and a lot of thinking! Let's be willing to prepare ourselves to do this thinking. That's why thinkscapes is here! Peace.
